Abstract (EN)

This study focuses on detecting foreign objects and determining their locations to prevent accidents that may occur at airports. Presently, the safety and efficiency of airport operations are heavily reliant on the detection and prevention of foreign objects on runways. The structural components of airports were examined, with particular attention to the risks and potential hazards on runways. A detailed review of various technologies used for foreign object damage and detection was conducted through a literature survey. These technologies include fixed radars, electro-optical detection systems, hybrid detection systems, and mobile radars. However, existing systems have some limitations, necessitating the need for more effective solutions. A prototype embedded system was designed and experimental studies were conducted using Arduino Mega and other components. This system, created through the integration of Arduino Mega, step motors, distance sensors, and Bluetooth modules, enables the rapid and precise detection and determination of the locations of foreign objects. The results of experimental studies confirmed the effectiveness and usability of the designed system.
