Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to evaluate the utilisation of genetically modified feedstuffs in farm animals's nutrition, and to investigate the official legislations about the regulations of these products' production, packing, labeling and usage in our country, European Union and other countries. In the study the GMO Legislations of Food, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkish Republic, European Food Safety Authority and other countries' Ministry of Agriculture were investigated. Gnetically modified products are not allowed in our country and European Union Countries to be directly used in human nutrition and the exported genetically modified products are under tight control and tracing. On the other hand; in other developed countries like USA and Canada the legal snactions on these products are a little more pliable.
