Abstract (EN)

This study, planned to demonstrate the validity and reliability of the Nurses' Responsibility for Quality in Health Care Scale by adapting it to Turkish on a sample of nurses, has a methodological design.Quality is defined in the literature as continuous improvement and success in accordance with the desired objectives. No method was used for sample selection in the study, the aim was to reach nurses at least five to ten times the number of scale items, and 514 nurses were included in the study. After being translated from English to Turkish, the scale was presented to expert opinion.Content validity, construct validity, item analysis, Kaiser Meyer Olkin–Bartlett tests, confirmatory and explanatory factor analyzes and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient were used to evaluate the scale. The content validity index of the scale was found to be 0.97.It was determined that the item-total score correlation values of the scale varied between r = 0.342 and 0.659.Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient was found to be reliable with 0.942.As a result of confirmatory and explanatory factor analyses, it was determined that the factor loadings in the multi-factor structure varied between 0.526-0.838, and the scale expressions explained 57.387 percent of the total variance. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the Nurses' Responsibility for Quality in Health Care Scale is valid and reliable in Turkish. It is recommended that the scale be tested in different studies and different sample groups.
