An overview on Henry Vieuxtemps' artistical approach and analysing the solo violin part of his 4th Violin Concerto

In this thesis, Belgian violinist and composer Henry Vieuxtemps' life and his contributions to the art of violin in Russia.was explained and the musical and technical difficulties of his 4th Violin Concerto which he wrote while he was in Russia, some practicing suggestions was presented about this work and to obtain an assistance was aimed in order to the players could practice more properly. Additionally, in this work, it was touched on Vieuxtemps's influence on mony Viennese composers' musical life. Besides the composer's childhood, beginning of his musical life, his teachers, the composers who were followed by him, his concerts, his admiration towards Paganini, his Russia trips and his contributions to the musical culture of Russia is also included.
