A Sample Study of Afyonkarahisar on Oxidant Antıoxidant Status, Condition, Some Hematological and Biochemical Parameters and Productivity in Livestock Supported and Unsupported Milk Farm Operations This thesis aims to investigate the body condition, haematological and metabolic indicators and biochemical parameters and milk yields of Holstein cows milking at 110-209 days of lactation in non-grant supported dairy cattle businesses and in grant-supported ones in support of rural development in European Union funds. There is clearly a need for feasible information about dairy farms with or without grant support. Understanding the physiological status and productivity of animals quickly and accurately is as important for businesses and researchers as it is for the country's economy and global animal husbandry research. The research was carried out with 60 Holstein breed cows in 110-209 days of lactation. Our finding indicated that, the average daily milk yield of milk cows in non-granted farms was 15.8 L, while in IPARD farms 24.4 L. The BCS of cows was lower in non-grant supported farm (2.83) when compared to the cows in IPARD farms (3.11). TAS levels of dairy cows in non-supported dairy farms were significantly lower than those of IPARD farms, while TOS levels were significantly higher in non-supported dairy enterprises. While BHBA levels were in the similar range between the two different farm types, serum NEFA levels were significantly higher in non-supported farms (0.79 mmol/L) compared to the supported ones (0.22 mmol/L).Hematologic markers were within physiological limits in both dairy farm types. However, all hematologic data were higher in grant supported dairy farms. Our results showed that the serum levels of triglycerides, cholesterol, glucose, BUN, ALT, GGT, TIgG were higher for the cows in grant-supported farms and only AST levels were higher for dairy cows in non-supported farms. As a result, the use of more modern equipment, the ongoing five-year control period, and the very important economic support lead to better animal welfare, care and nutritional criteria in IPARD-supported farms when compared to non-granted farms. These conditions are reflected in the metabolic profile indicators, hematologic parameters, BCS scores, oxidant antioxidant status and milk yields of the animals in these farms. Thus, it was concluded that the grant support by IPARD positively affected the physiological processes, yield qualities and animal welfare of the dairy cows because of its positive contributions to the maintenance, care, feeding and animal material, which provided important contributions to the national economy and global economic processes as well as human, animal and environmental health.
