Abstract (EN)

Working temperature is the most important parameter affecting particle size and morphology in nanosized powder production. By increasing the working temperature, agglomeration formation is observed and it is thought that larger particles may be formed as a result. A new solution was obtained by adding 0.006 M P2O5 solution to 0.01 M Ca (NO3) 2.4H2O solution. With this solution, Hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were produced from calcium nitrate and phosphorus penta oxide solutions with pH values of 11 at constant temperature (180 ºC) and at different holding times (6,12, 18 and 24 hours) by the Hydrothermal Synthesis Method. The characterizations of the produced powders were examined by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), EDX, X-Ray (XRD) and UV-Vis studies. As a result of these studies, it was observed that Hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were in the form of agglomerate, no impurity was observed, and forbidden energy values were found to be between 3.72 eV and 4.05 eV. The aim of our thesis is to improve the electronic, optical, magnetic and thermal properties of nanoscale powders and to contribute to their use in these fields. The aim of our thesis is to produce nanoparticles with different crystal sizes using the hydrothermal synthesis method and determine the optimum synthesis time by examining the morphological and optical properties of these particles. In addition, the effect of heat treatment on the crystal size, morphological structure and optical properties will be examined with the heat treatment applied to the produced nanoparticles. It will be checked whether the hydroxyapatites produced are suitable for photocatalytic applications by looking at the forbidden energy ranges.
