Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this study which aimed to identify the relationships amongst personality, motivaton and satisfaction of dark tourism participants, surveys were conducted to the visitors of Sinop Fortress Prison in 2015. As a result of collected totally 342 data, correlation and influence degrees between personality, motivation and satisfaction of participants were analyzed. According to analysis, a low level correlation between personality and motivation; as well as personality and satisfaction were found. At the same time a mid level correlation between motivation and satisfaction was obtained. It was identified that personality had a low level of influence (%7) on satisfaction. Similarly it was found that motivation has a low level of influence (%29,2) on satisfaction. This study consists of three sections. The first section contains the subjects; theoretical framework of dark tourism, types of dark tourism, national and international literatures about dark tourism, national and international dark tourism examples. In the second section, the subjects of motivation and motivation theories personality and basic personality theories were explained. The third section contains the subjects of study aim, importance, method, population and sample of research, analyses and findings.
