Abstract (EN)

In this research, the fatty acid composition of the water mite (Acari; Hydracnidia) species like Hydrachna processifera, Eylais setosa and Hydrodroma despiciens collected from Lake Karamık, was determined by gas chromatography Myristic acid (C14:0), palmitic (C16:0), heptadecanoic (C17:0) and stearic acid (C18:0) that belong to saturated fatty acids were found in high rates. Rates of the total saturated fatty acids were significantly varied amongst the species (p<0,05). Palmitoleic (C16:1), oleic (C18:1) and erusic (C22:1) acids were the most common single unsaturated fatty acids. Total single unsaturated fatty acids significantly varied amongst the species (p<0,05). Major multiple unsaturated ω3 fatty acids were γ-linolenic (C18:3ω3), eicosatrienoic (C20:3ω3), eicosapentaenoic (C20:5ω3) and docosahexaenoic (C22:6ω3) acids; ω6 fatty acids are linoleic (C18:2ω6), γ-linolenic (C18:3ω6), eicosadienoic (C20:2ω6) and arachidonic (C20:4ω6) acids. We the significant differinces were determinet amongst the species in terms of the fatty acid rates (p<0,05). In this study, morphological features and living hapitates of Hydrachna processifera, Eylais setosa and Hydrodroma despiciens species in Turkey and in the world were given, and their fatty acid rates were compared.
