Ali`s attitude towards the political incidents in Osman`s reigon

ABSTRACT In this research, we tried to examine Ali's attitude towards the political incidents which took place during Osman's reign. The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. in the introduction, we firstly evaluated the attitude and position Ali displayed in the selection of the first two caliphs, namily Abu Bakr, and Omar, and his pledging allegiance to them; and secondly, the khaliphs seeking of his advice, and Ali's thoughts about them. In the first chapter, we dealt with Osman's qualification for the caliphate as a result of the Consultation Shûrâ, and Ali's pledging allegiance to him. Apart from that, we examined the first six years of Osman's caliphate. In the second chapter. Ali's attitude was examined during the Fitnah incident and We looked upon Ali's attitude about Osman's behaviours toward some Campanions. In the conclusion, we summarized our conclusions which we arrived during our examinations. Vlll
