Abstract (EN)
II ABSTRACT Master Thesis THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SPEED CONTROL OF SPEED- SENSORLESS VECTOR CONTROL SYSTEM Ahmet Bedri ÖZER Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Computer Engineering 2000, Page:65 In this thesis, a new method for the estimation of speed of induction motor is presented. The estimated speed is used in the speed feedback for vector control and overall speed control. The absence of the speed-sensors is very advantageous in many aspects: cost, robustness and parameter sensitivity. The general approach of the speed-sensorless field oriented control is to obtain the flux linkage signal from the terminal electrical quantity without any speed sensors. Rotor speed is determined by the difference between the synchronous angular frequency and the slip angular frequency which are estimated by the measured stator currents and detected stator- flux reference. Experimental results on a laboratory tested motor drive are presented to validate the proposed method.
