Abstract (EN)
The examples that constitute the content of the Qur'anic parables are often conveyed to the audience/believers with some anecdotes taken from the lives of the prophets. For example, some advice, warnings, etc. are given to believers through the sample events conveyed in these parables. In other words, through these examples, it is prioritised to ensure the development of the believers' behaviours regarding moral tendencies and their access to a mental maturity. In this study, it is aimed to analyse the parable of Joseph within the framework of the methodological techniques of tafsir and psychology. Since the scope of our research will be in the context of psychological tafsir school, the tafsirs within this scope will be utilised. In addition, since there is no detailed information about the birth and childhood of Joseph in the Qur'an, the relevant sections of the Torah, the holy book of the Abrahamic religions, especially Judaism, will be used. In our study, we will refer to the 'Qur'an Translation' published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in 2011 as the 11th edition as the source for the translations of the verses of the Qur'an.
