Abstract (EN)
As a result of the Ottoman Empire's request for an armistice, it withdrew from the First World War and became a defeated state. On October 30, 1918, the Moudros Armistice was signed with the Entente Powers, and the First World War came to an end for the Ottoman Empire. The armistice clauses were created to prepare the legal basis for the invasions of the Entente States. However, after the signing of the armistice, the Entente States began to carry out occupation practises in violation of international law. The conflicts of interest between the Allied Powers, which attached particular importance to the Turkish Straits and the Black Sea region, to share strategic points on the Ottoman Empire, in order to control the roads leading to their colonies in the Middle East, to have Caucasian railways and oil reserves, deepened the conflicts of interest. After the Turks won victories on the Western Front in the National Struggle, which had its effect in Anatolia since 19 May 1919, the process worked against the Entente Powers, and the blocks between the Allies began to be seen more clearly. In this study, the occupation practices of the Entente States in the Turkish Straits and the Black Sea region, the attitude of the Istanbul Government towards it, the reactions of the Government of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the invasions and the measures taken by it will be examined by considering the first three articles of the Moudros Armistice.
