Ibn Ma'sûm's travel book called "Sulvetu'l-garîb and Usvetu'l-Erîb"

In this study, the life, scientific personality and works of Ibn Ma'sûm have an important value in the Ottoman period of Arabic literature, and the his work of "Sulvetu'l-garib and usvetu'l-erib" were dealt with. The work includes travel observations between Arabia (Mecca) and India (Hyderabad) for 19 months on land and at sea, and encyclopedic information according to the events and events. Ibn Ma'sûm was born in Medina in 1052/1642 and died in Shiraz in 1120/1708. The author spent sixty-eight years of his life up to fourteen years in Mecca, India, where he had to emigrate for forty-eight years, and his last years in Iran. This thesis is consist of an introduction, two chapters, conclusion, references and appendices. In the introduction chapter; travel literature, types of travel, travel writings in Arabic literature and Arabic literature in the Ottoman period are intoduced in detail. In the first chapter, the life, personal direction, scientific personality and works of Ibn Ma'sûm are examined. In the second chapter, Ibn Ma'sûm's travel book called "Sulvetu'l-garîb and usvetu'l-erîb" is examined as a whole.
