İbn Malak and Mabarik al-Azhar Sharhu Masharik al-Anwar

The effort of trying to understand and interpret the hadith has been in motion since the beginning of Islam. Prophet Muhammad at first had explained the Hadith that weren't understood clearly by the companions and prevented the misunderstan-ding of the Hadith. This effort was kept going after the passing of Prophet Muham-mad. Especially the trustworthy hadith books that were composed after the classification activities of Hadith literature were expounded cover to cover. After that expounding or interpreting hadith became a discipline of its own. One of the eminent representative of hadith interpreting discipline in Anatolia is Ibn Melek. He is a productive scholar who had became known with his work called Mabarik al-Azhar sharh Masharik al-Anwar. This work had taken place in many madrasas curriculum and also used by so many people. Even though Masharik al-Anwar is expounded/interpreted so many times, it is noticeable that Mabarik al-Azhar has a bit more privileged place amongst others. In our work, since it is the essence of Mabarik al Azhar, firstly Masharik al Anwar and its author Saghânî will be studied. Information about Saghânî's life will be provided and Masharik al-Anwar's wording/style will be examined. Later on, the life and scholarly characteristics of Ibn Melek and one of his most important works Mabarik Al-Azhar will be mentioned. In the final part of the study, we will try to show the interpreting system that Ibn Melek used while writing Mabarik al-Azhar and determine the work's characteristic features.
