Idea management system in the context of knowledge and innovation management

Innovation is a significant factor for companies that want to stay alive in the strenuous business life. New approaches which based on the employee voice and participation used to systematically support and accelerate innovation in organizations. In this context, the idea is the foundation of any innovation. This study aims to present a structured approach to idea management system based on the benefits, strengths, success factors and main stages of the idea management process. Also, a literary survey of innovation, creativity and idea generation is undertaken to determine their core traits and inter-relationships between each other and idea management system. Following this, an extensive review of the literature on the Fuzzy Front End model is presented and allocated within the framework. Finally, in order to put the theory to the practice example a software tool, called ?Fresh Idea Start Here?, is presented which provides the management of ideas pertaining to Open Innovation activities in Atos Company.
