Abstract (EN)

In this study, bacterial diseases causing loss of yield and quality in tomato were investigated in Iğdır province. For this purpose, survey was conducted and diseased plant samples were collected. 98 bacterial strains were isolated from the bacterial simptoms on fruits and leaves. Bacterial strains were tested for fluorescent pigment production, levan colony formation, gram reaction, pectolytic activity, oxidase, amylase, catalase and hypersensitive reaction (HR) in tobacco HR positive bacterial strains were chosen for pathogenicity test. 11 bacterial strains were found to be positive in pathogenicity test on tomato plant (5656) grow in pots. The bacterial strains were identified by using the Microbial Identification System (MIS) and BIOLOG GEN III automated system. The identify of strains were determined as follow; 11 Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria, 2 Pseudomonas viridiflava and 1 Pseudomonas syringae pv. astomato.
