Abstract (EN)
In this research, during the time from the World Economic Crisis of 1929 until the Second World War, the socio-economic status of peasants and farmers, the steps taken towards the rural area with the economic crisis by the government and their reflections on the region have been assessed. By this research, the relationship between the World Economic Crisis of 1929 and the statism in Turkey, the link between the principle of statism and the politics towards the rural area, with the discourse of the executive staff on the rural area and their responses at the operational level, the reflections of the policies applied to the rural area upon the peasants have been examined.
