Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTArab Nationalism played an important role during the disintegrationprocess of the Ottoman Empire. Born and started to progress in the mid 18thcentury, the Arab Nationalism, appeared as a political movement demandingfully separation of the Arabs from the Ottoman Empire.Arab Nationalism is an important topic in the history of the Middle Eastbecause it was produced by the modernisation process of the region. This alsomakes Arab Nationalism important for the last decades of the Ottoman history.In this study, the Arab nationalist socities, founded in the SecondConstitutional Period, and their activities both inside and the outside of theEmpire, have been evaluated. In order to do this, initially the historicalbackround of the Arab Nationalism has been dealt; secondly, the activities ofthe nationalist socities have been explained. The aim of this study is to researchthe contributions of the Arab socities to the Arab nationalist movement againstthe Ottoman Empire. With this aim, the secret and official Arab nationalistsocities of the Second Constitutional Period have been examinedcomprehensively within this study.IX
