From the second constitutional monarchy to republic the Armenian questions with memories

This study aims to display the Turkish ? Armenian relationships in the Second Constitutional Monarchy by the views and memories of the intellectualls of that period. The memories and the autobiographies have valuable information for the historians. Since this kind of information is personal they are subjective and have some risks for the objective historiography, but inspite of everything, memories are seen as important resources which help to enlighten the dark sides of the past and to show up the unknown parts of the modern history writing. On behalf of Otoman empire the most destructive period about the nationalism ideology was occuured in the Second Constitutional Monarchy. The Second Constitutional Monarchy was also a period when the problems about Armenians increased because of the nationalism affect. In the I. World War the Armenian Deportation decided by the Ottoman Empire was started to be discussed and during the war and also after the war it became one of most important topic that was discussed. The events that happened during the Deportation and in its application became one of the basic propaganda material used against the Unionists especially by the end of 1. World War. While some of the memory writers of the period whom were known as their close relationships to the Union and Progress Society wrote that they had no responsibility about the Armenian deportation and they had been deported since they betrayed and insurrected during the war period ;especially the other writers who were against the Union and Progress Society used the Armenian deportation as an important trump in their memories. Almost all the writers who wrote the memories in that period mentioned about the Armenian Deportation that took place during the first world war more or less; this shows how important the deportation is.
