Abstract (EN)

This study was made in 2012, in Aydın conditions in order to determine the effects of different sowing dates on agricultur a land technological properties of cotton grown as a after cropt after wheat. In this study, as the material, 10 cotton varieties/lines ( Ozbek 100, Ozbek 105, Cosmos, ST 373, Flash, Flora, Gloria, Julia, Fomosa, varieties and ADÜ Pure Line) which belongs to earliest group have been used. On 1 June and 15 June; the trail, according to the randomized complete block design with two factors, has been established as three replications. In this study; sixteen features, including morphological, agronomical and technological, are examined. As a result of the delay in sowing, it is observed that there is a considerable decrease in plant height, branch wood, fruit branch, number of cocoons, seed cotton weight per cocoons and seed cotton yield; that scalloping is earlier, that flowering is delayed significantly, and also that finer fibers occurred in considerable amount. Althought here was a significant difference among the varieties in terms of efficiency, ADÜ Pure Line shows the best performance with the varieties of Cosmos,ST 373, Gloria and Famosa. Keywords: Cotton product in short season conditions, sowing date, yield and fiber guality properties
