Abstract (EN)
Copper which first metal with the outstanding qualities used throughout history and continues to be indispensable material. The first production of high-grade copper oresis preferred because of that the natural resources are decreasing day by day. Copper products in the world by completing their economic useful lives create a new source of raw material for re-use. Increasing the efficiency of production, reducing the energy consumption, increasing the product quality and quantitative marrow are priority issues in production engineering. The production processes and characteristics of copper from second sources at commercial nature were investigated by taking into consideration the local conditions of a major copper producer in the world Kazakhstan and utilizing the opportunities in Turkey. The purity and combination conditions have been characterized according to product quality and application areas. Purification of copper is made as a pyrometallurgical with fire, electrolysis and by melting again in cathode. Purity values of copper are reached as blister copper % 97 - 99, in blast furnace %90 -95, as hydro-metallurgical % 85 - 90,by electrolysis % 99.99. The production and quality requirements of copper used in re-melted purified coppers with sufficient purity and scrap for commercial are determined as comparative.
