Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in 2021-2022 with the aim of determining the yield, fruit quality, physical and chemical characteristics of İkiz fındık local variety grown in Ordu province. The local İkiz fındık variety sampled was obtained from producer orchards in Boztepe neighborhood of Ordu province. The samples were collected from 6 different orchards. All samples were harvested seperately and dried in semi sunrise. Yield and nut characteristics were investigated. As a result of the study; average nut number per cluster was 2.36-2.35, husk length was 3.42-3.88 cm, nut weight was 1.75- 2.02 g, kernel weight was 0.89-1.02 g, kernel ratio was 49.94-51.70%, core cavity was 1.07-2.12 mm, double kernel ratio was 11.94-14.11%, black-tipped kernel rate was 0.57-1.86%, wrinkled kernel rate was 1.34-3.63% and good kernel rate was 50.20- 60.19%. And yield per plant was 264.49-444.23 kg/plant, yield per cross-sectional area per plant was 5.89-16.61 g/cm2, oil content was 57.83-63.83% and protein content was determined as 11.48-20.10%. As a result of the research, the İkiz fındık local variety showed similar properties with other hazelnut varieties in terms of physical and chemical properties but double kernel ratio was obtained higher values in the others.
