A research on the levels of emphatic contact skills in the last class students in the contact vocational high school

The contact vocational high schools are the training institutions that prepare the students for both higher education and profession. These high schools have been trained qualified people who are able to work in the areas of media, journalism, public relations, advertising, radio and television.The main aim of this study is to examine communication skills in studying levels of socio-demographic variables in terms constitute of three communication ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students in the vocational high schools in Ankara.In the research universe, the fall semester of 2009-2010 academic years in three communication centres in the province of Ankara in vocational high schools, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students who comprise the study. Sampling is not to study, research, accepted the survey was conducted with the participants. Research data, the data of 450 students constituted. As a means of data collection, consisting of 7 questions and 45 questions consisting of personal information form scales consisting of communication skills inventory questionnaire was used. Analysis of the data obtained, was carried out using SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences) 11.5 program.Assumption of the test data to provide parametric test assumptions because of two independent two-group comparisons t-test comparison group average, more than twice the average for the group comparisons were performed with only a one-way analysis of variance test. Level of importance of hypothesis testing, alpha error level of 0.05 was used as. According to the results of research on gender differences in communication skills and in total mean scores between the three sub-dimensions of 5% significance level was tested by independent groups t-test was significant and relevant hypothesis Ho is rejected (p<0,05). According to the class differences between the total scores of communication skills conducted one-way analysis of variance hypothesis test score than emotional communication skills in all child sizes and the total was found to be statistically significant (p <0.05) Ho hypothesis was rejected.Key Words:1.
