Abstract (EN)
This study aims to identify the views of elementary school students in grades 6 to 8 on activities in Science and Technology classes, and examine whether these views significantly vary with certain variables. To this aim, the quantitative research method of survey was used in the study, as well as the qualitative research method of conducting interviews.The sample of the study consisted of a total of 546 students attending three elementary schools in the central district of the province of Kastamonu in the 2010-2011 academic year. Interviews were conducted with 18 of these students.The data analysis conducted showed that student views on activities in elementary Science and Technology classes significantly varied, at the .05 level of significance, with the variables of gender, grade, enjoyment of the class, and being able to carry out all the activities.Key words: Science education, problems, elementary education, activities
