Abstract (EN)
In this research, it was searched that teaching Cooperative Learning Methodology and Traditional Learning Methodology; their effects on 7th grade elementary school students? academic performance in ?mixtures? subject. In this research, Cooperative Learning Method?s Jigsaw Technique was used. This research was studied in Alan Primary School in Göynücek, AMASYA in 2nd term in 2010-2011 education- year. There were 40 7th grade students. The experiment group including 20 students from 7-A class and control group including 20 students from 7-B were chosen. Presantations were performed in experiment and according to cooperative learning technology in control group according to traditional learning technology.During research, scientific achievement and pre-knowledge tests were administered to both groups. In addition, students in the experiment group were assessed with Jigsaw View Scale. The difference between students? pre-study levels was determined by preknowledge test. According to the results of pre-knowledge tests; there was a difference between the groups, the students? achievments and their levels. At the end of the research, achievment test was carried out for both experiment and control group.Due to the difference in pre-knowledge test, we found out the difference between pre-test and the final test and we carried out one sample t test to this difference. While assessing the success, we benefit from Statistical Package for the Social Sciences.According to the results of analysis, a meaningful difference in students? success was determined between the experiment group, learned cooperative learning methodology and control group, learned traditional learning methods.viAt the end of the research Jigsaw View Scale was carried out to the students. According to the results of the scale, it can be said that The technique has a positive effect on students? academic success. In addition, it was found that Jigsaw method is more beneficial and effective than traditional learning method.
