The student guide method and the classical method compored in teaching Social Science to 7. classes.

In this study, the student guide method and the classical method have been compored in teaching Social Science to 7. classes. In elementary education every step of ?Student Guide Method? the students know, when, why, how long and what to do before. The students take an active role in both learning and teaching process. Nowadays, the social, economical, cultural and political developments bring a generation who can take responsibilities to our life as a must. In classical process the learners are passive but in contrary to classical method the Student Guide Method gives a great important to students. One of the most important aim of this method is to raise educated individuals who love protect his nation. Like everytihing in Turkey the teaching methods are changing, as well. And the currency of this method has been proved. The Student Guide Method supports the contemporary teaching thoughts as well. The cooperation between student and teacher is very important to plan the education process and apply this method successfully. By doing that, we aim to show a new model to teachers. This study has been performed in Altıntaş. The expriment group consist of Yeşilyurt Primary School and the control group consist of 7. class students in Oysu Primary School. The guides have been prepored according to 7. classes curriculum and their content has been got students comprehend. Being in comperation with control group before the application a pre-test and after the application a post-test have been applied to students. During the application regulary the students have been talked with. To Exchange views and the psycho-motor developments of students have been ohserved. The datas which have been gained from pre and post tests have been evaluated according to statistical analysises. The Student Guide Method give a vital role to students. These experiences will be trasnsfered to real life. The students learn the critical thinging. Different methods and techniques which have been prepored for surting students interests, ağabeylities and needs will help us to grow up productive and respectful citizens. In this study the creativity of students is aimed to be known clearly.
