Abstract (EN)

In this study; fourth-grade students who educated in Dumlupınar and Şeker elementary schools in physical education lessons in 2006-2007 education term was examined gross motor development with Constructivist and Traditional teaching approach.Research datas were gained with Test of Gross Motor Development Test by Dale Ulrich developed. In this study to Turks students have made reliability analyze.To study; fourth-grade students who in 2006?2007 education term educated in Dumlupınar and Şeker Elementary schools in Kütahya was included total 239 students.To research results gained datas were analyzed on computer by to benefit from SPSS statistical programme. To evaluation research results was used Independent Sample t-test and significant level was accepted with 0,05.According to research results; to constructivist and traditional teaching approach in physical education lessons; educated group that studied with constructivist teaching approach have seen significant level to educated group that studied with traditional teaching approach in locomotor, object control and total values. In result of this study, physical education lessons that studied with constructivist teaching approach according to traditional teaching approach was determined that in fourth grade elementary physical education lesson is more effective teaching approach in order to develop gross motor skill of students
