Abstract (EN)

Grammar is a science which determines the rules of bounded languages in order to write and read corectly. Grammar determines a language concerning rules and their working properties by studying meaning connections between sound, shape, structure of sentence and different elements. Teaching grammar is supporter, explanatory and organizer teaching activity of understanding and explaining language skills besides the knowledge of language which is given. Therefore, when it is examined, grammar has a completing function of reading, listening, writing and speaking Turkish language skills. At research, by considering the problems of grammar teaching with the help of teacher?s opinions, suggested solutions were tried to be bought to these problems. The questions which as prepared to determine teacher?s opinions was applied in eight central towns of Ankara. In these towns, 257 teachers were reached. The questionaire form is made up of two parts. In the first part, there are questions in order to determine the demographic and academic positions of teachers who attended the questionaire. In the second part, the opinions of teachers about seven different lower problems were obtained. It is possible to find these results from the teacher opinions: 1. Teachers have agreed the idea that grammar teaching improves understanding an explaining skills to a large extent. 2. Teachers use course book mostly while teaching grammar. 3. While teaching grammar teachers have problems mostly on verb positions, gerunds, compound sentences but least on vowel harmony and consonant rules. 4. Teachers agreed mostly about the problems of grammar teaching. 5. Teachers agree mostly about the sugested solutions to teaching grammar problems.
