An evaiuation of applications of computer aided graphic design at elementary schools

In this research whose subject is "An Evaiuation of Applications of Computer Aided Graphic Design at Elementary Schools", the evaluation of the importance and necessity of utilizing the latest technology during the application of educational program(lles which has applications of graphic design in Visual Arts and of advantages in the future of students is being considered, resulting from various sources. Searching the applications of computer aided graphics design and historical background of computer, what the level of its function and applicability might be in educational system nowand in the future has been determined. Taking into account the studies on graphic design in Turkey, the contents, aims and targets of Visual Arts educational programıne, the specifications of the computers recommended for graphic design applications at elementary schools have been given; the software to be used has been defined; aims and techniques have been described. That art and education of art should be given at the levels of earlier ages help the students oriented towards creative activities, gain esthetical affinity; manage a good contact with people in their neighbourhood and their problems more easily, gain similar other skills has been explained. The search on specifications of hardware and software of computers to be used in the applications of graphic design in Visual Arts has been carried out. This research is compiled through the sources of various literatures, articles, magazines of co(llputers, theses and other printed documents in a way beside the educational programme it can be an alternative source and guide that help the students at elementary schools adapt the latest technologic requirements and innovation in the present age.
