The Research of the elective chess lesson programme which is carried out in primary schools

Dr. Mehmet Ali ÇAKIRThe aim of this training is to examine whether the students can take theadvantages in the primary chess programme in accordance with the opinion of teacher,administrator and inspector. The teachers working in the primary school in the center ofKütahya and training chess lesssons as elective courses, administrators and inspectorsform the sampling of this research.The data gathered in the research were interpreted bysuch techniques as aritmatic means standart devition, t test, ANOVA, Tukey HSD test.During the research a poll including 43 questions resulted from the experiences in thePrimary Chess Programme was used as a tool to gather data.The teachers , inspectorsand administrators expressed their positive opinions would take the advantage of theexperiences in primary chess programme at the end of the training.Key words : Chess, Primary Programme, Elective courses, Primary schools.
