Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine conflict types perception levels of primary school principals and the connection between these conflict types and demographic features. There are five parts in this study.Data included in this study is gathered from principals of primary schools located in Istanbul province, Bagcilar district. Searching method is used in this study. Total 201 executives participated in this study. Demographic features of the executives are determined via personal information forms. Rahim Organizational Conflict Survey is used to determine the conflict management styles of the executives. Necessary information is also gathered by face to face meetings.As a result of the study, it is determined that while compromising attitudes of the executives in conflict management varies as per their sex.; materiality, domination, and avoidance attitudes are independent of sex. It is also found that compromising ratings of women are higher compared to men. In other words it is determined that women use this behavior more when compared to men. Materiality attitude use of executives in conflict management varies as per their last graduated school but; materiality, domination, and avoidance attitudes are independent of it. Relationship between materiality, domination, avoidance and general conflict ratings of the executives at school and their experience level and participation to seminars and their ages are not found significantKeywords: Conflict management types of primary school principals.
