Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of 3rd and 4th grade primary school students on the prevention and intervention of peer bullying in schools. The research was conducted with 96 students studying in three different state schools in Iscehisar district of Afyonkarahisar province in 2019-2020 academic year. The model of the research was patterned using a single group pretest-posttest design with a weak experimental method, one of the quantitative research methods. Data from the study was obtained using open-ended questionnaire forms. A "peer bullying awareness training program" was prepared by the researcher and "Student Opinion Forms" prepared by the researcher were applied before and after the eight-session training program. According to the results obtained from the students' opinion forms as a result of the research, students stated that "fighting" before the education program; they expressed it as "power imbalance" after the training program. They stated that they mostly encountered bullying in "In the Garden", "When coming and going to school". While he stated that "discussions in the game" before the training program caused bullying; after the training program, "pushing for no reason, etc." they stated that behaviors cause bullying. The students stated that their teachers intervened in the bullying by "warning them, getting angry". The students stated that they should be "respectful and understanding" towards each other about what can be done to prevent bullying.
