Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the primary school 4. it is to determine the opinions of school administrators, teachers and parents regarding the abolition of the written exam time application in classrooms and the transition to a process-oriented measurement system. The study was conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year with the participation of 6 teachers, 2 school administrators and 60 student parents working in a public elementary school located in Antalya. The participants were determined according to typical situation sampling and easily accessible sampling from purposeful sampling methods. The pattern of the research is case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The research data were collected using semi-structured interview forms based on open-ended questions developed by the researcher. The data obtained through the interview were analyzed and interpreted using the content analysis technique. The findings obtained are presented in tables and quotations from the participant's opinions are included. To remove the written test as a result of the research process-oriented evaluation of switching to a system; stress, anxiety, and a comparison between the disappearance of the students, the strengthening of social relations, love and the increase in interest students in the courses, the test is not the only criteria for the success of the student in the process to show the development, student-oriented, to be a conflict between parent and student end of course, increasing the active participation of, exam preparation and practical for teachers as a convenience for not reading positive participant feedback have been identified. In the study, participants reported negative opinions about the abolition of the written exam time application and the transition to a process-oriented evaluation system, such as decreased tendency to study, decreased motivation, decreased academic achievement, reluctance and emptiness towards lessons, indiscipline, the child's own condition, the parent's inability to learn about the child's condition, insufficient reflection of success, lack of objective evaluation, teachers' difficulty in practice due to physical and financial means, the student will have difficulty in upper grades. It was concluded that while the majority of the participants participating in the study were hesitant and had negative thoughts about the new measurement and evaluation system, they emphasized that the application was not completely negative, but also had many positive aspects. The majority of the teachers and administrators who participated in the research stated that they did not receive in-service training on this issue and that they needed such training. On the other hand, the parents of the students stated that it does not make sense that the exams should not be held at the primary school level unless they are taken up in all classes.
