Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine primary school students' perceptions of teacher behaviors and to investigate whether these perceptions differ according to gender, age, and grade level. The research was designed within the quantitative survey model, and the sample consisted of 571 third- and fourth-grade students studying in the city center of Sivas during the 2024–2025 academic year. Data were collected through a Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher and the "Perceived Teacher Behaviors" scale developed by Köksalan and Zelyurt (2019). Prior to analyses, skewness and kurtosis values were calculated for the sub-dimensions of the scale, and since the values were within the ±1 range, the data were considered normally distributed. Independent samples t-tests were conducted for gender and grade variables, while one-way ANOVA was performed for age. The findings revealed no significant differences in students' perceptions of teacher behaviors with respect to gender, age, or grade level. Moreover, the results indicated that students most frequently associated their teachers with rejecting behaviors, while caring behaviors were perceived relatively less.
