Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the burnout and satisfaction with life levels of physical education teachers working ay schools depending on some variables. 57 female 82 male total 139 physical education teachers working in Ankara city center. For data concerning burnout ?Maslach Burnout Scale?; for satisfaction with life level ?Life Satisfaction Scale?; for personal and professional characteristics ?Personal Information Form? which was developed by the researcher have been used. When the results were examined it has been found out that physical education teachers working at public schools suffer more burnout and their life satisfaction levels are low; physical education teachers who had chosen the profession willingly sugger less burnout and their satisfaction with life levels are high; the lack of equipment and absence of sports halls in schools cause increase in the emotional burnout and desensitization, and decrease satisfaction with life of physical education teachers; satisfaction with life levels of physical education teachers experiencing emotional burnout and desensitization have been decreasing.
