Abstract (EN)

A.D. 54 at with the killing of Claudius, Nero took over the state administration. Due to he was young and inexperienced, Seneca, Burrus and Nero's mother Agrippina took over the management from him. Later, Nero who couldn't bear this situation any more, took over the management back and killed them all. When he realized that the policies he made after take over the administration had deteriorated the country's situation, he stopped think about Rome and turned to his own personal wishes. One of that wishes was to go to the Greece, that he dreamed of, and attend to all Olympic games personally there. It is known that, Nero did not personally participate to the wars and political events that occurred during his empire, and he did it through the people and commanders he directed. When it is said Nero, the great fire of Rome which was caused the burn half of Rome comes to mind. Although this fire is thought to have been caused by Nero, it is said that he had rebuilt Rome after this fire. Emperor Nero has been an emperor, whose name was very common in history due to his personality and actions. This study contains information about Emperor Nero's personality, lineage, activities, policies he followed, wars, social, economic, political innovations, artistic, cruelty, sexual preferences and the great fire in Rome.
