Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT Co-implanted single-cyrstalline, TİO2 (100) and TİO2 (001) ratile thin films hr,ve been investigated by magneto-optic Kerr effect (MOKE) technique. Magnetic measurements at room temperature were carried out using the high resolution longitudinal magneto-optic Kerr effect set up. Hysteresis curves were measured with different in-plane rotational angles of the applied magnetic field. The angular dependence of the magnetic remenance indicates an in- plane two-fold shape anisotropy for (100) sample and an in-plane four-fold shape anisotropy for (001) sample. This indicates that the magnetic properties of the Co-implanted samples are strongly affected by substrate symmetry. We have also shown that the dielectric and diamagnetic single-crystalline TİO2 substrate becomes a good ferromagnetic material after Co-ion implantation. Keywords: Magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE), single-crystalline TİO2 rutile, thin films, magnetic hysteresis. XI
