Abstract (EN)
In the present study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of Vit E injections on the incidence of RS and fertility parameters in the Holstein cows at he close up and lactations periods, and the effects of the single injection of Vit E at the artificial insemination time in Double Ovysnch protocol on the pregnancy rate and embryonic death in cows. In the study, a total of 207 cows were selected which are in the one or more lactations and (between 1-8th lactation) cows were divided into two groups randomly. Cows in Vit E group (PPVIT-E., n=103) were given 6 ml (900 IU dl-alpha tocopherol acetate) 23.5±2.5, 16±2.5, 9±2.5 days before calving (Evigen®, Aksu Farma, Turkey) and also were injected intramuscularly on the 42nd day after birth. The control group (PPKONT., n=104) was administered 6 ml of 0.9% NaCl intramuscularly at the same days. In order to see the effect of Vit E injections on the α-tocopherol concentration in the blood serum, blood was taken 10 cows from the PPVIT-E and 10 from the PPKONT. before starting the study and again at the time of parturation from the same cows. Respectively, the change in serum α-tocopherol level (µg/ml) was +1.66 (µg/ml) in the PPVIT-E and +0.25 (µg/ml) in the PPKONT.. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). The results between PPVIT-E; PPKONT. as RS rate was 5%; 15%, birth to first estrus (days) 36.1; 37.0; first insemination success 40%; 42%; second insemination success 31%; 29%; third insemination success 28%; 24%; the number of open days is 136.0; 136.9; 200-day pregnancy success is 70%; 69%. While the incidence of RS between the groups was statistically significant (p<0.05), no significant difference was found between other parameters (p>0.05). Independent of the PPVIT-E and PPKONT. groups, 196 cows synchronized with double ovysnch for the first insemination after calving, were divided into two groups. 6 ml (Evigen®, Aksu Farma, Turkey) was administered intramuscularly to the STVIT-E (n=99) group at the time of insemination, and STKONT. (n=97) 6 ml 0.9% NaCl was administered intramuscularly at the time of insemination. STVIT-E and STKONT. first conception rate of 40.4%; 40.2%; embryonic loss rate of 10.0%; 23.1%. It was concluded as no significant difference was found in these parameters between the two groups (p>0.05). In conclusion it is found that the injections of Vit E at the close up period decrease the incidence of RS, however the multiple injections of Vit E at the close up and lactation periods or single injection at the insemination time has no positive effect on fertility parameters.
