Abstract (EN)
We see how fast the development in any areas, which was alerted during the middleof 19th century, has come to today without hesitating. We also know that there became somany changes in that period. This development continued including problems, destructionsand tensions due to the ideologies inside. Consequently, some artists tried to keep up with allthese problems and some of them challenged/fought. The first group tried to mend thebroken ties between life and art. And the fighters resisted by putting out the pure, uncontrolled feelings against all the problems coming from mind and mentality.Being in such a situation, the informel art comes into being different than the othertendencies. They may be trying to fill in the meaningless points of life. The informelart/tendencies which lead art to new horizons during its development, bring pureness offeelings to painting. The first part of our thesis concerns this subject. There has been a greatexamination on conditionals of informel art and its influencing sources and also an effort oflocating informel art in its right place with its properties and effects.Throughout this location, Wols has got an important role. In fact, he himself has noaim or wish to have such a role. He studies wholly in an inner automatism excepting logic. He draws lines on papers as if he scrapes on his hands. But he draws his pictures in such aninstinct that he just defines the point we should locate him. Painting is an instinct justequivalent to breathing for him. Wols, who considerably lived under bad conditions and diedyoung, is the second part of this thesis. From the reason of why we examined him up to hisworks, many points are taken into hand throughout the subtitles of this part. The third part is formed from the titles which examine the importance of Wols for andafter his age with the other informel artists. Especially, the effect and relevance of Wols withother artists is evaluated under a different title.
