Abstract (EN)
Three dimensional human mandible model is developed. Stress analysis of the human temporomandibular joint (TMJ) consisting mandibular disc, condyle, and fossa eminence complex during normal saggital jaw closure is performed by using linear finite elements analysis. Elastic properties of the model are taken from the literature given at the references. Stresses on the TMJ are obtained. Then results of the analysis are illustrated. Finite elements mesh of the human mandible model is created by filling the geometry with triangular elements. The stresses on temporomandibular joint is considired for jaw closure position.
