Analyses of financial information for investors in internet environment.

Economical comfort is the most important thing for the development of the country. To support economical comfort, there must be a strong capital market. Investors should have acted with confidence if there is no asymmetric information problem. In addition to `confidence?, daily, true and necessary information is the other important factor for the investors. Some financial portals disseminate financial reports to the investors thanks to the technological developments. In this study, different kinds of information given via internet to the investors are investigated. At the end of the research, this analysis is compared with the expectations and needs of the investors. To get the result, 30 different financial portals are examined. This study investigates the financial portals which provide information to the investors. Comparing domestic and foreign financial portals is in order to get suggestions to financial portals in Turkey to minimize asymmetric information. In this respect, this study consists of three parts. First, the information which is coming from capital markets is examined for investors. The properties which should be included in financial analyses are also explained in Section 1. We focus on the technologies which are used for explaining the financial portals, the financial information which is transferred to internet platform, and the audit function about financial information. The information process for investment, the factors that affected the investment decisions, asymmetric information and its effects are examined in Section 2. Especially the effects of the asymmetric information to the investment decisions are discussed. We compare the domestic financial portals and foreign financial portals with each other in terms of information asymmetry. In total, thirty financial portals from domestic and foreign financial portals are examined and some improvements needed for financial portals to minimize asymmetric information in Turkey are discussed.
