Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the effect of coworker support on the quality of work life among hairdressers and the mediating role of employee happiness in this relationship. Dec. The effect of the social support ve psychological well-being levels experienced by hairdressers working at an intensive pace in the service sector on their overall quality of life in the business environment has been considered within the framework of the literature. Within the scope of the research, data were collected through a survey from 300 people working in various hair salons in Istanbul. The data were analyzed by structural equation modeling (SEM) method. While the findings obtained reveal that colleague support has a direct positive effect on the quality of work life, it has been determined that employee happiness partially mediates this relationship. In other words, it has been found that the emotional ve social support received from colleagues increases the happiness of employees; this increased happiness positively affects the quality of work life. As a result, it is emphasized that in sectors with high interaction ve stress, such as hairdressing, supportive relationships established between colleagues strengthen both employee happiness ve the quality of work life Decently. The research reminds employers ve managers of the importance of organizational environments that will support inter-employee relationships.
