Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted to determine the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics, job security, job satisfaction and work-family life conflict and the quality of work life. The cross-sectional study was conducted between 01.05.2024-30.04.2026 at Balıkesir University Health Practice and Research Hospital. The sample size was calculated as 566 people in the universe of 1200 people in the Epiinfo 7.2 program, considering 50% prevalence, 95% confidence level and 3% deviation and these people were reached by stratified sampling method. T-test, ANOVA (posthoc: Tukey HSD) were used in univariate analyses, and linear regression analysis was used in further analyses. The participants' Quality Work Life Scale score was 68.90±17.63, their Work Safety Scale score was 105.73±9.18, their Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) score was 3.12±0.73, and their Work-Family Conflict Scale score was 28.84±8.37. As a result of linear regression analysis, the Quality of Work Life Scale score was statistically significantly lower in women (B=2.323; 95% CI 0.33; 4.30), unmarried individuals (B=-2.344; 95% CI -4.34; -0.34), clinical workers (B=0.818; 95% CI 0.20; 1.43), those who had ever considered quitting their job (B=4.311; 95% CI 2.03; 6.58) and those who did not want to continue their current job for the rest of their life (B=-3.318; 95% CI -5.64; -0.99). As the level of meeting the requirements of the work environment decreases (B=0.083; 95% CI 0.03; 0.13), job security decreases (B=0.288; 95% CI 0.18; 0.39), work safety decreased (B=11.559; 95% CI 9.95; 13.16), and work-family life conflict increases (B=-0.207; 95% CI -0.32; -0.08), CQL decreased statistically significantly (Adj. R2=0.584, F=89.025, p=0.000, Durbin-Watson=1.830). In the study, Quality of Working Life, work safety, job satisfaction and work-family life conflict were found to be at a moderate level. It is recommended to improve the working life of health workers in order to increased their quality of working life. Keywords: Quality of working life, job security, job satisfaction, work-family life conflict.
