Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the mediating role of safety management practices in the relationship between job satisfaction and productive energy. Literature suggests that safety management practices not only improve working conditions but also positively influence employee attitudes and behaviors. However, these practices can be perceived as additional workload by employees, potentially causing negative impacts on job satisfaction and motivation. On the other hand, the positive effect of job satisfaction on productive energy has been demonstrated in numerous studies. The research examines the individual perceptions of safety management practices and their direct or indirect effects on job satisfaction and productive energy. A conceptual framework is established, and data is collected through three distinct scales. A 54-item, 5-point Likert-type questionnaire was administered to 210 participants from Istanbul Gelişim University. Validity and reliability analyses were conducted using IBM SPSS vs. 24 and AMOS software, followed by structural equation modeling to test the mediating role. The findings are expected to contribute to developing innovative solutions for occupational health and safety (OHS) practices and raising awareness of OHS within organizations. This study, limited to Istanbul Gelişim University employees, aims to provide significant insights into the mediating role of safety management practices on the relationship between job satisfaction and productive energy.
