Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the effects of cooperative learning and traditionalteaching strategies on the achievement of 7th grade learners in the Turkish course.In this research the pre-test and post-test design with control group has been used.The research is based on two groups: a control group and an experimental groupcomposed of a total of 70 students. Traditional Teaching Technique was used on the controlgroup whereas `Learning Together Technique?, a Cooperative Learning Technique, wasemployed on the experiment group.The research data were collected through Turkish Achievement Test and Scale forAttitudes towards the Turkish course.In this research, Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation and T-test were used forstatistical analysis.The research has discerned that the students who studied Turkish with the technique ofcooperative learning were significantly more successful than the ones who were subject totraditional teaching technique and that the first group?s attitudes towards the lesson aresignificantly more positive than those of other group.
