The School of Alexandria and its influence on Christianity

The first period of Christianity's formation is the time period when institutional and doctrinal changes and transformations occurred the most. The Christian School of Alexandria is one of the most influential institutions in this early period of Christianity. Influenced by Christianity and at the same time influencing Christianity, the Alexandria Christian School has played an important role in Christian history and theology. In order to understand this school, in the first part, the Ancient Alexandria School, an institution that can be considered as the predecessor and cultural basis of the Alexandrian Christian School, is included. The ancient Alexandrian School became the model for the establishment of the Alexandria Christian School. In the second chapter, Alexandria Christian School is discussed in a multifaceted manner. In this section, the institutional structure of the Alexandria Christian School, the thinkers it hosted and the works it left behind are mentioned. In the third chapter, the impact of the School on Christianity and the ways of doing this are mentioned. Councils have been the subject of research as a concrete criterion to accurately determine the impact of the school on Christianity. The impact of the Alexandria Christian School on Christian theology and history has been discussed from philosophical and theological perspectives. In order to determine the philosophical impact, the themes of logos, Platonism and allegory were included and it was tried to determine through which thinkers these themes had an impact. In order to determine the theological impact, the topics of the trinity, the relationship between the elements of the trinity, the image of Jesus and the image of Mary are included.
