Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is tried to analyze the reasons behind the production of the model of ?IslamicCity?. Its applications and its political implications for the Western world are vitallyimportant for the thesis. Thus before defining the model, it is intended to understand thenecessity for constructing such a model. Because of this reason the relationship between themodel of Islamic City and orientalism was investigated. The critical re-readings of the modeland the role of the orientalist tradition were also discussed in the thesis.Key Words: Urban Models, Islamic City, Orientalism.
