Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to state the importance of numerical methods for business management and also to evaluate teaching these methods in the education of business administration. So, the object is doing a comparative assessment of the courses about numerical methods taught in Business Administration departments of the related faculties of the universities in our country and also enlightens the future studies.The scope of this study is limited only with the main numerical methods used in business administration and teaching of these methods. The study does not contain the application of methods or criticizing them.The data collection in the theoretical part of the study was done by literature survey and in the research part the data was collected by gathering the syllabuses of the Business Administration departments of the universities.In the first part of the study some definitions of decision are given and theoretical information about the most frequently used numerical decision making methods are summarized.In the second part, deciding and the process of decision making is explained in detail; and the impact of the developing information technologies on decision making is examined.In the result, teaching numerical methods is evaluated as an important area in business administration education and the results are arranged.Key Words1.Numerical methods2.Decision Theory3.Decision Making4.Information Technologies5.Business Administration Education
