Abstract (EN)

In this study, a hundred examples were taken from 2+1 and 3+1 plannedapartment blocks in Düzce, their living rooms and furniture are investigated interms of flexibility and functionality. Within the terms of flexibility andfunctionality, it is aimed to determine the interaction between users and theirfurniture in different types and sizes of living rooms. It has been determinedwhether or not there has been a meaningful relationship between theinteractions of user-space-furniture, gender, income situation (socioeconomicstatus), educational background, the number of residents, ownership, the size ofresidences and living rooms and the frequency of moving. The results of thequestionnarie including 200 residents show that; in two different types ofresidences, the living room furniture were similar in terms of quality andquantity, however when the sizes get smaller and the number of the roomsdecrease, the users? satisfaction about the furniture features decrease.
