With this research we have tried to find an answer to the question Is there a relation about the primary school principals? and secondary school principals situational leadership styles among teachers sense and thinking styles ??The system of this research which designed in relational model consists of 3938 teachers,941 primary education teachers and 2097 secondary education teachers,working in academic year 2008-2009 in İstanbul province,Kadıköy districts 69 primary and secondary schools(56 state&13 private).The research?s reference consists of 209 teachers working in three different schools in every educational zone whom are chosen randomly and voluntarily from the six different educational zone?s all primary and secondary schools in Kadıköy by sampling categorization method.In the research the datas are obtained by two different scales.The Configurative Thinking Inventory improved by Epstein (2001),has been improved to measure people?s thinking levels of configurative and destructive point of view about world and automatically to themselves.The inventory adopted to Turkish Culture by Tosun&Karadağ (2008).The inventory consists of 85 items,5 of them are likert type and 7 components which have 11 sub-scales.Many Factors of Leadership Scale has been improved by Baas&Avolio (1990) in order to determine peoples leadership styles by the scope of Situational Leadership Theory.With the result of the scales used by researchers in many different countries and organizations,some comments made about the scale and it has been emphasised that the scale should be renewed.With parallel to these researches,the scale has been revised into Turkish by Akdoğan (2002) with the explanatory factor analyze method and as a result the scales Turkish form composed in 5 likert type and totally 36 items,3 components which have 7 sub-scales.In the analysis of the datas received from the research;average(X),Standard deviation(SS),independent group T-test Kruskal Wallis,H-test Mann Whitney,U-test and Pearson multiplication momentum correlation analyze used.According to the datas received from the research,teachers? activity orientation thinking style showed itself as the most dominant factor.In the constructive thinking,teachers? the feeling of not belonging to a place and intolerant way of thinking became the least seen factor.In the teachers? constructive thinking compounds,behavioral coping became the most dominant compound in the research.The least seen compound seen in teachers is thinking with extraordinary things.Besides,the most important data received from the research is the constructive thinking factors and situational leadership compounds are statistically relevant to each other.These relations are between positive thinking and transformational leadership,destructive thinking and continueing-permitting freedom leadership.
